The economic and trade cooperation between Angola and China was reviewed on Wednesday in Beijing during a meeting between multi-sector delegations of the two countries.
At the meeting, the Angolan delegation, headed by the Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs for Cooperation, Angela Bragança, reiterated the position of Angola that defines the People’s Republic of China as one of its main strategic partners.
The meeting served as a preparation for the second session of the steering committee for economic and commercial cooperation and business forum between Angola and China, two events to be held in the Angolan capital, very soon.
However, the meeting presented and discussed various legal documents and instruments, to be considered in detail in Luanda, as well as it defined issues to be addressed in both events.
The implementation of the 10 plans of China-Africa cooperation announced by Chinese President at China-Africa Forum, held in Johannesburg in 2015, the promotion of the implementation plan of financing cooperation at the bilateral level and other matters of economic and trade cooperation will be part of Luanda forum.
In order to facilitate the diversification process of the Angolan economy, with the Chinese collaboration, it is still scheduled aspects relating to agreement on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments, visa facilitation, implementation programme of the cultural and labour agreement.
