The measures that the Angolan government has been taking are ensuring the stabilisation of stocks in the country, allowing the fall in prices of the main products of the basic basket, said on Friday in Luanda the Trade minister, Fiel Domingos Constantino.
Speaking at the closing act of the 9th Broad Consultative Council of the Ministry of Trade, which took place on Friday October 21, the minister said that the sector will continue to develop an educational role in raising awareness to economic operators, to respect the law on pricing and commercial activities in the country.
He explained that the trade sector is the most targeted in the supply of essential consumption goods, especially during the festive season and reason why there is a need to redouble efforts and continue to work to provide food products to the population.
On occasion, the minister acknowledged that provincial trade directors play a key role in this process because the agricultural fields, industries and seas for food production populations are in the provinces.
On the other hand, Fiel Domingos Constantino reiterated that the Government is to ensure all its institutional support so that Angola may export more its products, diversifying its exporting range.
The meeting took place under the motto “Development of Trade and Exports Promotion for the growth of the economy”.
