At least 14 million US dollars have been invested by the Angolan business group Sodosa in the construction, equipping and functioning of the Mangolé supermarket located in Viana Municipality, in Luanda Province.

Set up in area of 4,500 square metres, the infrastructure was inaugurated last Friday by the Trade minister, Fiel Domingos Constantino.

ANGOP has learnt that this undertaking has generated 125 jobs.

Speaking to the press, after the inauguration act, Fiel Domingos Constantino stated that this initiative represents one more important step in the normalisation of this region’s commercial network.

“The Viana Municipality, for its vast dimension and population density, has a space that enables it to absorb initiatives like this one”, he said.

The minister said also that the Executive has been creating the necessary policies in this field, while the entrepreneurs need to contribute to the development of the national economy.

He appealed for continual commitment of the Sodosa business group to expanding its commercial activity and network.

In his turn, the CEO of Sodosa, António Soares, said to the press that he intends to see the Mangolé supermarket become a very noticeable brand in the Angolan market, and that it can grow and help the market improve with its quality products, as well as that it can continue to provide jobs.
