Angolan Government will reactivate the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA), as part of the effort to diversify the economy and give another boost to this scheme that exists in the Ministry of Agriculture for the last 30 years.

Created with the aim to finance agricultural development, FADA had its legal statute in approved in December last year, and its board of managers appointed.

The fund is under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance with the help of the agriculture sector, given its specific mission linked to agriculture.

“Right now, we are working on the identification of what products we will support under the strategy of the Ministry of Agriculture,” FADA executive administrator, Josefa Sacko, told Angop.

According to the official, the Planning and Study Office of the Ministry of Agriculture is making the diagnosis of the sector by hearing all stakeholders and see what strategic plan should be outlined in order to boost this sector of extreme importance to the country.
