Angola: BNA sells 26.8 million Euros

At least 6.8 million Euros were sold by the Banco Nacional de Angola from February 27 to March 3 this year in order to cover the transactions and payment of the expatriates’ salaries.

According to the information posted on BNA website, the above amount corresponds to USD 457.3 million.

The sales were held during auction sessions that covered the following areas:

•EUR 90.1 million to cover operations for foodstuff;
•EUR 89.5 million for oil sector needs;
•EUR 78.7 million for Industry sector;
•EUR 22.5 million for various companies;
•EUR 22.5 million for education sector;
•EUR 17.9 million for operations of trips, family aid, health and education;
•EUR 22.5 million for education sector;

The country’s primary exchange market recorded sale reference exchange rate of Euro=Akz 186,283, and Usd=AKz 186,283.
