The National Reserve Bank (BNA) sold, from this April 24 to 28, 265 million euros, which is equivalent to 296.1 million US dollars, a value that is almost the double of the amount sold in the previous week.
from April 17 to 21, the BNA sold 142.4 million euros, which is equivalent to USD 159.1.
According to the same BNA note, from those sales carried out by the Central Bank Eur 102.8 million were sold for the coverage of operations in the crude-oil sector and Eur 59.4 went to the acquisition of foodstuffs.
At least Eur 26.8 million were made available for the coverage of operations in the domain of energy and waters, while Eur 24.2 million went to the transport sector, Eur 15.7 million went to construction, and Eur 14.4 million went to operations in the clothing and shoes sector.
Other amounts of foreign exchange went to the coverage of operations by various governmental departments.
This week the reference exchange rate is of 166.7 kwanzas (Akz) for one dollar and Akz 186.2 for one euro.
