Banco Nacional de Angola (BNA)’s foreign currency sales tripled between 5-9 June, reaching Eur. 376.4 million (Usd 420.6 million) to cover various operations.
The information is posted on BNA website that shows an increase of Eur. 257.5 million as compared with the previous period.
According to BNA exchange and monetary market data, Eur. 135 million of the above amount went to cover Letter of Credit operations, Eur. 103,3 million went for various sectors operations, and Eur. 44,8 for the productive sector.
The oil sector has taken Eur. 29.1 million, and ministries and other State organs have absorbed Eur. 19.8 million. Eur. 13.4 million went to cover costs in the transports sector, while trip, family aid, health and education took Eur. 8.9 million.
Credit Card operations took Eur. 8.9 million and Eur. 6.2 million went for foodstuffs operations, while telecommunication services received Eur. 5.3 million and expatriates salaries absorbed Eur. 1.7 million.
The average exchange reference rates for sales on the primary foreign exchange market calculated at weekend was Usd =Akz 166,742, and EUR=Akz 186,296.
