Thirty new locations, located in 28 districts of Mozambique, will get access to voice, SMS and internet mobile telephony services, as implementation of phase 4 of the Universal Telecommunications Access project starts, reports Verdade.
Universal Telecommunications Access is a project of the Mozambican government to bring basic telecommunications services to the public.
The project is worth an estimated MZN 432 million. Mobile operator Movitel is in charge of the implementation of phase 4. The company was selected through a public open tender for this purpose.
