Angola: Eggs production with 134% increase in Benguela

Eggs production in coastal Benguela province has reached 10.9 million eggs over the past year, an increase of 134 percent over 2016.

In 2016, production in the province was 4.3 million eggs, according to the head of the Veterinary Services of Benguela, Elisabeth Conde, who was satisfied with the increase of the production of the aviaries located in the municipalities of Benguela, Baía Farta and Cubal.

Speaking to ANGOP, on the annual review of the institution, Elisabeth Conde stressed that the Santa Filomena aviary produced the highest number of 6,577 thousands eggs, followed by the Afroave aviary with 1,549 units, both located in the municipality of Benguela.

The companies Bico D’oro, Osanji-ya-Fina, Xavier and others also contributed to the increase of production in the province.
