Izyshop – Mozambique´s online platform connecting producers and retailers to consumers with same-day home delivery, secures funding from DHD HOLDING, a local Mozambican holding company, which among other enterprises owns the largest private media conglomerate in Mozambique – SOICO GROUP.
The deal was announced by the group CEO – Daniel David, at the Gala dinner, during Mozambique´s largest Tech Fair – Moztech.
Izyshop´s CEO – Titos Munhequete mentioned that this is a key strategic partnership that will allow Izyshop to increase its products and service offerings, taking advantage of DHD´s management and communication expertise to continue implementing Izyshop´s vision of a Pan-African presence.
According to DHD HOLDING board member – Dailton Fonseca, the group believes and shares Izyshop´s international growth vision and believes that DHD will add management and communication value to the business, helping this Mozambican startup to reach its pan African expansion.
This is a major milestone not only for Izyshop, but for the Mozambican entrepreneurial ecosystem, as Izyshop becomes the first tech startup to successfully raise institutional investment from such a large group, opening the door for more similar deals to occur in the future.
