Mozambican Voices: Milton Gulli (Music & Video)

Approximate reading time: 1 minute

Mozambican musician Milton Gulli is one of the most talented instrumentalists of the current Mozambican music scene.

Music: We Used to Be Africans, Cacique’97

Milton is always on the move between Lisbon and Maputo, as he divides his time between the band Cacique’97 – which is based in Portugal, bringing to the country an afrobeat with a lot of groove and politicised lyrics -, the Kongoloti Records music label – releasing records and opening space for Mozambican alternative artists who don’t make to the radio – and the career of an instrumentalist musician, in bands playing with artists such Azagaia, or solo artists performing in Mozambique.
