Angola and Japan vow to deepen relations

Angolan Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto delivered a message from the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, to the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, on Saturday.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to which Angop had access, the Angolan Head of State wishes to deepen the good relations of cooperation and assistance that exist between the two countries since 1976.

The ceremony was held at the end of the bilateral meeting and working lunch Angola-Japan, on the sidelines of the TICAD Ministerial Meeting, where Minister Manuel Augusto participates as special envoy of the Angolan Head of State.

The Angolan diplomat will remain in Japan until Sunday to attend the Preparatory Ministerial Meeting of the  7 th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 2019) scheduled for 28-30 August 2019 in Yokohama, Japan.
