MTI Wireless Edge wins irrigation work in Mozambique

Communications and radio frequency group MTI Wireless Edge said its irrigation control systems subsidiary Mottech Water Solutions had won its first contract in Mozambique.

The new contract would be delivered in multiple phases, with an initial value of 1m Rand and an expected total value of up to 5m Rand.

The supplier of the contract wasn’t named.

‘Water management is a vital ingredient in Africa’s green revolution that aims to turn Africa from a net-importer of agricultural products to a net-exporter,’ Mottrech South Africa chief executive Launce May said.
