The government will next year launch an international tender for the development of the Mulela community game reserve in the Gilé National Reserve buffer zone in Zambézia province.
According to Daniel Maúla, president of the Zambézia Integrated Development Platform, the aim is to make the game reserve profitable.
“The game reserve was designed in the context of ecotourism in partnership with the private sector and to brings income to local communities. One of the purposes is the restocking of the game reserve itself, to be undertaken next year, in the sense that there are species needed by the private sector to manage,” Maúla said.
