Angola: Making industry more competitive, low cost – official

Angolan minister of State for Economic and Social Development Manuel Nunes Júnior said Friday that Angola is on the right track as the industry sector has started producing quality products, with some of them being exported to other countries, after oil.

Manuel Júnior, who visited Expo-Industry and Projekta 2018in Luanda, told journalists that many factories have reached between 30% and 40% of the national market quota produced locally.

He said that the government will continue to work on making the industry increasingly competitive, less cost and more efficient.

Food, beverage and real estate industries, exhibited at the Expo-Industry and Projekta 2018, are among those committed to production of goods and services with the use local products, he said.

The minister also defended support on entrepreneurs and producers and make products made in Angola increasingly demanding not only locally but in the world.
