The Chinese ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin, last Friday in Soyo City, northern Zaire Province, reiterated his country’s support to the development of the Angolan sectors of agriculture and industry.
Speaking to the press during a working visit of some hours to Soyo, the diplomat stressed that the relations between Angola and China are now taking new paths as a result of the recent meetings held between the heads of State of the two countries.
“Now we are entering a new stage of the co-operation with Angola (…)”, emphasised the diplomat.
The Chinese ambassador recognised the potential of the Zaire Province in the domain of agriculture, fisheries and crude-oil, having seized the occasion to announce that his country intends to devote more attention to this region of Angola.
On his turn, the governor of Zaire Province, Pedro Makita Armando Júlia, highlighted the contribution of China to the development of this region, chiefly in the domains of roads and electric power.
The governor then reiterated that his province is open to all types of investments to leverage its socioeconomic development and create more jobs for young people.
Zaire Province’s population is estimated at 594,428 inhabitants.
