Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa and his visiting Cape Verde’s counterpart Ulisses Correia e Silva have pledged to boost joint strategic partnership between the two countries.

Both sides announced at their summit that they would hold official ceremonies in both countries on June 10 to celebrate the “significant symbolic moment” of the bilateral relationship.

Both countries noted “the intensity of the economic relations between the two countries and welcomed the significant levels of investment recently achieved.”

Adding: “The Fifth Summit demonstrated the relevance of the strategic partnership between the two states and the excellence of bilateral relations, based on a wide and diversified cooperation. The shared vision and common will of the two states to work towards the sustainable economic, social and human development of their societies.”
