The construction of the largest agro-industrial unit in the country – a massive chicken breeding and egg-laying unit with a complete value chain attached – starts at the end of June.
The complex, which will employ more than 5,500 people, will be located in Gurue district, Zambezia province, and represents a US$10 million investment by the Mozambican government and the African Development Bank.
