Cape Verde has a new National Postal Code, which was announced at a public presentation Thursday in Praia by the Multisector Regulatory Agency for the Economy along with the presentation of a specific website with all relevant information.
The agency said that, as the postal sector regulator, following dialogue and consultation with operators and key players in the sector, it had created a new National Postal Code that is, “more robust, effective and more capable of meeting” the daily needs of postal operators.
This tool, according to the president of the agency Isaías Barreto, will allow mail to be sorted and distributed faster and improve the flow of parcels and other mail, both nationally and internationally.
The new postal code has a database with around 27,000 records, which can be accessed at http://www.codigopostal.cv/.
The Multisector Regulatory Agency for the Economy is an independent administrative authority that is tasked with the technical and economic regulation of the communications, energy, water, public urban and intercity passenger transport sectors and is the result of a merger between the National Communications Agency of Communications and the Economic Regulation Agency.
