Government of Angola unifies inspection services for economic activities

The Angolan government will unify its services for inspection of economic activities by setting up an institution that will bring together technicians from the sector currently spread among several ministries, the minister of Territorial Administration and State Reform announced on Tuesday in Luanda.

Minister Adão de Almeida said at the end of the 2nd Meeting of the Interministerial Commission for State Reform that, “the assumption is that we will move towards … a single institution that inspects economic activities,” and added that the initiative also intends to create a more favourable environment for the economic activity in the country.

Taking stock of the meeting, the minister said that the participants analysed a memorandum on the process of being admitted into the civil service, paying particular attention to how public tenders are conducted.

Almeida said this process will create a single structure that will deal with admittance into the civil service via public tender, which is expected to be the responsibility of the National School of Public Administration and Policies that works under the Ministry of Public Administration, Labour and Social Security.
