The Angolan government has approved the customs declaration form for passengers/travellers, meant to provide written information about goods, resources and articles transported during their trips, the Ministry of Finance announced.
Executive decree 209/19 of 9 August of the Finance Ministry indicates that the measure is part of the process of reforming and modernising customs services, reports the Jornal de Angola newspaper.
The initiative is also within the scope of responsibilities of the General Tax Administration, with a view to controlling the country’s borders and national customs territory for tax, economic and society protection purposes.
The document explains that the form’s introduction at the international land, air, sea and river borders will enable Angola to join the group of countries that apply good international practices.
The customs declaration form for passengers/travellers should be used in all customs posts on Angola’s borders.
