The National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), Wednesday, in Luanda, validated the proposals presented this year by oil companies Sonangol, ENI and Total, for the exploration of the Namibe and Benguela sea basins.
The proposals, introduced in the framework of the International Tender for the Namibe and Benguela Sea Basin Oil Exploration, launched in September by ANPG, were presented to the public today.
The jury, chaired by Hermenegildo Buila (ANPG) and also composed by Cármen Canjungo (Ministry of Mineral Resources and Petroleum) and Pedro Marques (Ministry of Finance), validated three of the four proposals submitted.
It validated the proposals of Sonangol EP, Italian ENI and French Total, and conditioned the proposal of the fourth bidder, “Pago Technical Group, Lda.”, due to non-conformities detected in filling out the forms.
On the occasion, ANPG administrator Natacha Massano said that, from now on, the companies will be qualified and the proposals evaluated running until December 28, to begin the negotiation process, which will culminate in the signing of the Concession Agreements on April 30, 2020.
