At least 223 private investment proposals were registered from August 2018 to November 2019, by the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), which will enable the creation of 16.400 jobs, for nationals and foreigners.

This information is displayed on the AIPEX statistical report of November, which reached Angop last Monday.

According to the report, these private investment proposals are directed at different sectors such as: construction (7), education (3), health (4), hospitality and tourism (3), fisheries (3), service provision (44), agriculture (10), commerce (50) and industry (99).

Of the total investment proposals for almost all provinces in the country, 47 projects have already been executed and 168 are being implemented.

The implementation of the 47 projects, valued at US$818 million, has led to the creation of 4,161 effective jobs.

Projects under implementation (168) are valued at more than $1 billion, while projects on hold (3) will be budgeted at $10 million.

The provinces of Luanda, with 173 investment proposals, Bengo (10), Benguela (8) and Malange (7) are the ones that attracted the greatest interest of investors in the period under review.

AIPEX aims to promote exports, attract private investment, register investment proposals, provide institutional support and monitor the execution of investment projects and internationalization of Angolan companies.
