Permanent focus on national production, improvement of the business environment and people’s living conditions are relevant for the increase of national production and reverse the economy’s downward trend.
This was said minister of Economy and Planning, Manuel Neto da Costa.
The minister said that in the last three years, the behaviour of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been negative, but he would not reveal the figure.
Therefore, he considered important the foreign exchange liberalisation to boost national production and leveraging the non-oil sector.
The official made this statement on the sidelines of the year-end greeting ceremonies and the inauguration of the executive directors of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Sebastião Cambanza and Carla Silvestre, respectively.
He also said it was important for the sector to align planning action with that of the Ministry of Finance, from the point of view of budgeting, as the plans set priorities for public spending.
He also defended more approach with other government institutions so that the measures applied have an impact on the development of economic activity in the country.
To him, the adoption of rules on the protection of minority shareholders in commercial companies, the issue of legislation on companies bankruptcy, the establishment of more international partnerships help improve the business environment.
