The administrator of the Cabo Verde Tourism Institute – South Region praised the role of travel agencies as being fundamental in promoting the country, as a tourist destination and above all in boosting domestic tourism.

Zilca Paiva made these remarks to the press, on Saturday, during the opening of the workshop on civil aviation, aimed at associated travel agencies, which takes place in Praia, where she referred to tourism as a cross-cutting sector, whether in terms of security issues, improvement of the products and services quality.

She assured that tourism has an impact on the quality of the final product, so she underlined the dynamics of the association, claiming that the Institute intends, together with partners, namely associations, to listen to the measures to be implemented so that together they can work for “a better tourism governance”. This is because I believe, as I said, with this initiative the actors have a role considered “extremely important” in the Cabo Verdean tourism offer.

Expressing her joy for this Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies initiative, in the sense of seeking knowledge and training for its operators, Zilca Paiva pointed out as “greater challenges”, based on several studies already carried out, the “greater integration” of the tourism product, that’s why she recommended the agencies take advantage of their role in promoting tourism.
