
As a measure to fight the spread of COVID19 the city of Pemba has installed last Friday (May 22nd) another disinfection tunnel for its citizens.
The mayor of Pemba, Florete Motarua inaugurated the newly installed disinfection tunnel for users of municipal services and their providers at the entry of the Pemba Municipal Council. This is the seventh disinfection tunnel installed in the municipality of Pemba to stop the spread of COVID 19 among other preventive measures.
The event was preceded by the distribution of masks to the journalists, managers and municipal officials present.
On the occasion, Florete Motarua took the opportunity to appeal its citizens to not undermine the efforts made and explained that Pemba has seen its revenue drop to 20% since the State of Emergency was enacted.
