This year’s EURAFRICAN FORUM is going to be held online.
While I’m certainly going to miss the experience of meeting and greeting the select, interesting minds shaping Africa and Europe relations that the event brings together, I certainly am glad that the event is going to take place nevertheless.
As the COVID19 crisis took the world by storm and all of the major international conferences and events have either been cancelled or long postponed, I am very excited that the EURAFRICAN FORUM is indeed taking place, although online for the first time ever, as I am sure that it was not easy taking the difficult decision to postpone the physical event to 2021.
The conversations will go on, and I hear they are implementing some very innovative tools to provide an experience that is poised to be a personal favourite and a “must attend” on my calendar.
This year’s event theme will be “in search of a common ground in a post-COVID world” and will focus on the challenges and distinct perspectives on African and European relations, so as to identify concrete solutions.
The forum will promote interactions with Europe and Africa’s leaders, engaging with multiple changemakers from startupers, artists, activists, scientists to business and political leaders, with live and recorded programming: talks, firechats, networking, performances, and exhibitions.
This year’s programme will provide access to:
• EAF Tracks, engage with +60 high-level speakers to understand the latest industry knowledge and trends to stay on the top of innovations.
• EAF Partners, product demo videos, downloadable product materials and live chats
• EAF Live Networking rooms, where you will create new exciting business opportunities.
I am really excited to be a part of the event again, but I will have to keep my intervention a secret until the official programme is released.
