Luanda may benefit from another 500 megawatts of Lauca, with the construction of the Lauca/Bita/Baia Musseque line, once the demining of the route has been completed, said the minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges.

The minister said so Wednesday at the ceremony to deliver the guarantee and quality control certificate for the dismantling of the line.

He said that in addition to this 400 KV line, others will be built for electrification in the country.

The minister stated that Laúca has not yet reached its capacity, hence the Ministry is working to ensure that Laúca reaches its maximum capacity in terms of energy supply.
