Ethiopia’s Ministry of Revenues collects US$6.5B in a year

Ethiopia’s Ministry of Revenues announced it has collected over US$6.5B (233.7 billion birr) during the Ethiopian fiscal year that ended on July 7.

The Ministry stated the figure has seen a 17.9 percent rise compared to the previous year when it was US$5.5B (198.2 billion birr).

The US$6.5B revenue stands at 86 percent of the US$7.5B (270.2 billion birr) target set for the year.
