The state of e-commerce regulation in Angola and the tax obligations of companies dealing with this type of business will be the subject of discussion, in an initiative of the Ministry of Finance, through the General Tax Administration (AGT).
The event, the “webtertúlia”, will take place on the “Microsoft teams” platform, where national and foreign speakers will approach online sales in the country, a business that is already gaining “wings”, especially at this time when the world is facing the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to a press release from AGT to which ANGOP had access, one of the lecturers invited to the meeting is the Portuguese tax specialist Sérgio Vasques, who will present a set of proposals for the taxation of e-commerce.
The state of regulation of e-commerce in Angola will be another topic under the responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, with Osvaldo Epipi, a member of the Legal and Exchange Office of this institution, as speaker.

Tiago Santos, director of AGT’s Tax Services, will speak about the tax obligations of e-commerce companies, which emerges as a short and medium-term challenge.
The lawyer and coordinator of Technical Opinions and International Treaties of the Center for Tax Studies of AGT, Altair Marta, will speak about the evolution of e-commerce in the world.
