QuickBus is a Kenyan based company that runs an online bus booking/ ticketing service and is in its final stages of securing undisclosed funding rounds ahead of planned business expansion to Ghana and Nigeria.

The recent funding round comes 10 months after securing a US$10M round from their UAE-based Shorooq Partners and other successful venture capital investments in the company.

QuickBus was founded in 2015 by Humphrey Wrey and was inspired by a terrible bus ride experience with a similar Indian online bus ticketing company in South Africa.

Starting off in Kenya, they now have operations present in Angola, Uganda, South Africa, and Zambia while hosting over 40 reputable bus operators on their platform.

Kenyan users can see reviews, service deals, and secure bookings using their mobile application. Expansion plans are in the works to commence operations in Ghana, Nigeria, and other West African countries.
