The Mozambican flag carrier, Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM), announced on Wednesday (17) that, for operational reasons, it would temporarily suspend flights between Mozambique and Kenya, starting on March 29, 2021.
The suspension, due to “operational reasons”, will be “temporary”, a press release from the company reads, adding: “Aware of the inconvenience caused, LAM sincerely apologises to passengers, travel agents and the general public.”
The statement does not specify the ‘operational reasons’ dictating the suspension of flights on this route, or indicate any possible date for their resumption.
On February 1, 2021, LAM decided to suspend flights between Maputo-Inhambane and Maputo-Vilankulo, due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
