Through the Presidential Dispatch No. 48/21 of 19 April Angola approved its Strategy Approach of the Assets and Goods recovered by the State.
This diploma is governed by a wider aim of fight against corruption Angola is developing.
The main aim of this Strategy is to present the transversal strategy of the Angolan Government regarding the assets and proceeds related to crimes, which are recovered by the State whether in Angola or abroad.
This strategy covers companies, shares and securities, moveable goods and real estate and current assets, but it excludes banking deposits or equivalents which are recovered through means of judicial civil or criminal proceedings.
The diploma states clear that the Government’s intention in retrieving these goods and assets is not only to compensate for the State’s losses, but also to dispose of the goods and assets retrieved in order to increase the quality of life of Angola’s population.
For these purposes, this diploma sets clear a series of measures for the retrieval and application of the goods and assets retrieved by sectors:
Approach and allocation of entrepreneurial assets;
Approach and allocation of real estate assets recovered in Angola;
Approach and allocation of current assets; and
Approach and allocation of Assets outside Angola.
