The public tender for the privatisation of three units of the INFOTUR hotel chain started this Monday, informed the Angolan State Holding & Government Asset Manager (IGAPE).
According to a statement from IGAPE, the three hotel units are located in the provinces of Benguela, Huíla and Namibe, and the tender is for the granting of rights to operate and manage these infrastructures, whose outcome should result in a 12 years contract with a purchase option at the end.
The tender is open to national and foreign investors.
Two of these hotels are operational, one in Huíla and the other in Namibe; they hold a three-star category and are located in the city centre.
The provincial hotels in Benguela and Huíla have a total of 132 rooms, including 30 ‘twins’, six suites, three for people with reduced mobility and 93 doubles, while Namibe has 126 rooms, of which 30 are ‘twins’, 12 suites, three for people with reduced mobility and 81 double rooms.
