Deutsche Bank AG has a Credit Line of 800 million Euros available to finance the private sector in Angola, resulting from the signing of an agreement with the Angolan State, worth a total of 1 billion Euros.
The information was provided today in Luanda by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, explaining that of the overall amount, a “little under 200 million Euros” was provided to the company Leonel Carrinho, the only one that showed it was able to benefit from the available credit to finance exclusively the private sector.
“After that time, a single Angolan company proved that it is qualified to benefit from this Credit Line. The Leonor Carrinho group is the only one that has managed to provide real guarantees to benefit from this Line of Credit, with a sovereign State guarantee,” lamented the Head of State, during a press conference.
When answering journalists, João Lourenço stressed that the private sector should take over the space left by the State, which does not hold shares in Grupo Carrinho (a private family company, whose shareholder structure is 100% Angolan, based in Benguela).
