The Africa Startup Summit is part of the fourth annual Africa Tech Summit, which takes place in person in Nairobi, Kenya, on February 23rd and 24th. It includes the Africa Money & DeFi Summit and the Africa Mobile Summit, which are also taking place in person.
This two-day gathering of African and international tech leaders will highlight Africa’s rapidly evolving start-up ecosystem and entrepreneurial potential.
Ten start-ups will be chosen to speak on stage in front of 500+ leaders in the African tech ecosystem, including investors, corporates, accelerators, and the media. They will talk about their company’s solution and overall ask.
Startups from all over Africa will be chosen by the Africa Tech Summit team and given the chance to show off their businesses and ask for funding, partnerships, or other things live on stage to a group of local and international business leaders.

The Africa Startup Summit is all about supporting the ecosystem and providing a venue for these startups to meet with investors and corporations.”
“While we welcome applications from various industries, we are particularly interested in enterprises that address climate, water, sustainability, and positive change, as well as the next wave of DeFi and Web3.0,” he added.
Selected startups will also gain access to the entire event, which will include three Summits, and will be able to participate in a wide range of seminars, talks, and networking opportunities.
In order for a startup to be eligible, it must have at least one African co-founder or be based in Africa. It must also be less than five years old, have a working prototype, and have raised less than $1 million.
Startups must be physically present in Nairobi to participate.
The deadline for applications is January 31st.
