H.E Denis Sassou-Nguesso, President of the Republic of the Congo, has inaugurated the new headquarters of the autonomous port of Pointe-Noire (PAPN).
The new building aims to centralize the port’s services while improving the working conditions of its staff.
Accompanying the President at the inauguration on the 22nd of January 2022 was H.E. Jean Jacques Bouyathe, the Republic of Congo’s Minister of Territorial Development, and H.E. The Congo is currently engaged in large infrastructure development projects with the aim to diversify its economy and attract investors into the country’s petroleum, agricultural, and mining sectors. As the region’s only deep-water port with direct access from the sea, the PAPN remains central to these efforts, easing import-export activities with world-class services for all sectors of the economy.
