Norwegian oil company Equinor will continue to explore oil and gas in several blocks, with a view to developing the sector in Angola.

The intention was stated last week in Luanda by the CEO, Anders Opedae, at the end of an audience granted by the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço.

“We have been in Angola for around 30 years and we are a company focused on exploration and development of the oil sector,” he told journalists.

He said that Equinor’s aim was to continue, in the long term, its activity in the area of oil exploration in Angola.
