The European Union (EU) announced financial support of more than €3 million for urban development projects in the city of Beira, central Mozambique.
“It is a great satisfaction to be able to see our efforts – at both local and community level – having visible effects,” EU Ambassador to Mozambique, António Sánchez-Benedito Gaspar, said.

Ambassador Gaspar was speaking after the launch of the ‘Mudar’ programme, an initiative aimed at promoting integrated urban development and local governance in the city of Beira, capital of Sofala province, and which aims to improve the lives of many communities in the municipality.
