Angola’s premier energy event is set to make an electric return from November 29 to December 1 this year in Luanda, uniting regional energy leaders, global financiers as well as public and private sector executives for three days of networking and dialogue.

Forming part of the packed program will be a Technology Panel dedicated to expanding the discussion on the intersection of technology and energy developments in Angola.

At a time when Angola has emerged as the biggest oil producer on the continent and a number of large-scale natural gas projects are set to position the country as a major producer and exporter, global pressures to transition to cleaner sources of energy are mounting.

As such, the country has positioned emissions reductions at the center of its developmental agenda, prioritizing carbon capture and storage and various other decarbonization initiatives that will ensure oil and gas project developments are not pursued at the downfall of climate change mitigation.

In this regard, technology will play a central role, and as digitalization and technological innovation improves across Angola’s hydrocarbon sector, Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2022 represents the platform of choice for service providers and innovators.

Meanwhile, on the renewables front, Angola has placed green energy as a central focus point with a number of solar projects launched country-wide. The application of clean energy technology could not come at a more critical time for the country. Notwithstanding the numerous hydrocarbon projects underway, renewables energies provide a key opportunity for the country to improve electrification while ensuring emissions are kept low. In collaboration with some of the country’s active international oil companies, these solar projects are set to usher in a new era of energy access and security on the back of technological innovation.

As such, AOG 2022 – as the official gathering for Angolan energy stakeholders – has placed technology dialogue at the forefront of the event program with a dedicated Technology Panel that will be led by industry experts to the likes of Schlumberger, Xcalibur Multiphysic and Welltech. Present across the entire Angolan energy value chain, these technology providers have both the expertise and experience to drive the discussions around technology in Angola’s energy landscape.

For energy players active in Angola, participating at AOG 2022 will open up new opportunities for partnering with leading technological service providers, while for emerging service providers, the chance to gain insight from industry giants while witnessing first-hand potential business prospects.

Interested in gaining more insight into the emerging technologies that are set to transform the Angolan energy landscape? Or eager to engage directly with technology experts, sign new deals and form partnerships? Then AOG 2022 will be the place to be.
