Kenyan and Tanzanian startups can receive a grant investment of up to US$102,000 from develoPPP Ventures to help them expand their impact-driven businesses.

DeveloPPP Ventures aims to strengthen businesses with entrepreneurship support and funding on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), administered by DEG Impulse, and backed by Seedstars.

Startups in Kenya and Tanzania are welcome to apply for the open call for the fourth cohort of the program if their business models are innovative and have a positive impact on the economies, ecosystems, or social conditions of these nations.

Since the fund is intended to support growth investments, startups submitting an application should have demonstrated their concept and be prepared to scale.

The initiative notably invites women-led firms and startups advocating gender equality to apply, in keeping with BMZ’s focus on female empowerment.

There is no question that social and ecological change is both conceivable and is taking place because we come across so many inspiring answers to regional and global problems. The essence of our program is to assist the most significant entrepreneurs in navigating the valley of death so they may reach more customers and draw in further investors, according to DEG Impulse’s Julia Stausberg-Umuerri.
