The National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (INAPEM) certified throughout the year 2022 a total of 20,000 companies countrywide, including micro and medium-sized companies, said the executive director of the institution, Bráulio Augusto.

Among the most certified sectors during the year in reference were general trade, wholesale, provision of services, agriculture, manufacturing, construction, accommodation and catering, transport and fishing as well as companies linked to health, education, commerce and maintenance, metallurgical industry, publishing and printing, sanitation and public hygiene.

According to Bráulio Augusto, who was presenting INAPEM´s review of 2022 on Angolan Public Television (TPA), these activities were carried out via various incentives and support programmes at ministerial level.

He noted that during the period under review, actions were also carried out to monitor the certification process, support the operation of the institution, highlighting in some periods, actions aimed at capital investment, in order to ensure continuous improvement of INAPEM´s performance.

Bráulio Augusto said that initiatives were also developed to encourage and promote the private business sector, aimed at proposing concrete measures to eliminate obstacles to the development of companies, especially small and medium enterprises, in order to establish mechanisms for collaboration among them.
