The Development Bank of Angola (BDA) disbursed 400 million kwanzas in 2022, for the financing of 15 farming cooperatives in Cambambe Municipality, Cuanza Norte Province, as part of the programme for diversification of the economy.

The cooperatives received from 7 million to 50 million kwanzas, which are being applied to agricultural production and raising goats, pigs and poultry.

The information was disclosed Friday to ANGOP, by the director of the Municipal Office for Integrated Economic Development, Paulucho Neto, who added that the beneficiaries are part of a group of 35 candidates for funding, while 20 applications are under evaluation by the BDA’s technical team.

Neto noted that along with the funding, the municipality received five tractors and a van to facilitate the distribution of products of the fields, having acknowledged that the funding is allowing companies to increase production, as well as the capacity to collect revenues for the state.
