The Mozambican Minister of Defence Cristóvão Chume last week highlighted the Angolan support in the fight against terrorist actions in Cabo Delgado province.
“That thanks to the support of countries like Angola, the villages and towns that were occupied by terrorists are now under control of the Mozambican government”, said Cristóvão Chume who is in Luanda to attend the XXII meeting of the Defence Minister of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).

The minister said that the biggest concern now is related to the humanitarian assistance to the families in the areas affected by the conflict, which is only possible with the reconstruction of several infrastructures, as a result of the support of these partners.

Located in the southern region of Africa and bathed by the Indian Ocean, Mozambique is one of the nine CPLP countries, along with Angola, Cape Verde, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor.
