The Kenyan minister of Foreign Affairs Alfred Nganga Mutua last week in Luanda expressed his country’s interest in cooperating with Angola in the fields of oil and gas, as well as the manufacturing industry.
During a meeting with the Angolan minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, the Kenyan top diplomat also expressed his country’s willingness to cooperate with Angola in agricultural development and in the field of knowledge.

According to a press release from the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alfred Nganga Mutua said that, in the near future, Kenya intends to propose to Angola that visas be removed from all passports.
At the meeting, the two entities discussed the importance of political consultations, the need to boost the Joint Bilateral Commission and increase visits to the highest level, as well as evaluating new forms of cooperation, with a focus on increasing the trade balance.
The two countries have maintained cooperative relations for several years.
In 2012, several legal instruments were signed, including the General Agreement on Economic Cooperation, the Scientific, Technical and Cultural Agreement and the one relating to the creation of the Bilateral Commission.
The Kenyan minister participated in the Extraordinary Summit of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region, held in Luanda.

The event analysed the Peace and Security situation in the East Region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and in Sudan.
