Airlink, a leading regional airline, has once again demonstrated its operational excellence by achieving the title of South Africa’s most punctual airline in January 2025.

According to official statistics, the airline recorded an impressive 91.85% on-time performance (OTP), setting a benchmark in the country’s aviation sector.

On-time performance is a critical indicator of an airline’s reliability and efficiency, measuring the percentage of flights that depart or arrive within 15 minutes of their scheduled time. For Airlink, maintaining a punctuality rate of over 90% highlights the company’s commitment to providing a seamless and dependable service to its passengers.

Rodger Foster, CEO and Managing Director of Airlink, expressed his pride in the airline’s consistent performance: “Achieving this level of punctuality is a testament to our dedicated team’s hard work and the meticulous planning that goes into every flight. We strive to ensure that our passengers reach their destinations safely and on time, and this recognition reinforces our focus on operational excellence.”

The airline’s success in maintaining high punctuality can be attributed to its robust operational strategies, investment in modern aircraft, and a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. Airlink operates an extensive network connecting regional destinations across Southern Africa, offering a vital link for business and leisure travellers alike.

Airlink’s achievement comes at a time when punctuality is increasingly valued by passengers as a critical aspect of their travel experience. The airline’s performance not only strengthens its brand reputation but also sets a high standard for the industry in Africa.

The recognition of Airlink as South Africa’s most punctual airline reinforces its position as a preferred choice for travellers seeking reliability and efficiency. The airline continues to focus on enhancing its services, aiming to maintain its leadership in the regional aviation market.
