Before assuming his current position, he was the marketing manager of MassDel commission agent (a platform business in transport service) and Icos consulting plc, which is a regional development and management consulting firm headquartered in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), with over 12 years of experience in the provision of tailored consultancy and research solutions for private and public actors in Africa.
Furthermore, he has served as an associate project consultant at the I-Capital Africa institute (a professional service firm), and as a project leads for the Amref youth council (Amref health Africa).
Academically, Mulusew acquired master’s degrees from Hochschule Mainz university of applied science, Germany (MA International Business) and Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia (M.Sc.
