President William Ruto has announced that Kenya’s economy has been stabilised, enabling the government to prioritise key development projects.
Speaking at the Kerio Valley Interdenominational Prayer Service in Tot, Elgeyo-Marakwet County, the President acknowledged that economic challenges in the past two years had stalled progress in critical sectors. However, he assured Kenyans that the implementation of various programmes would now proceed robustly, particularly in infrastructure development.
Reflecting on his tenure, President Ruto highlighted significant strides in sectors such as agriculture, security, healthcare, education, and electricity connectivity. He attributed increased food production and reduced living costs to the government’s planning and subsidised fertiliser initiatives. On security, he commended efforts to combat threats, particularly in regions like Kerio Valley, where stability has begun unlocking economic potential. The President pledged to reopen schools and restore essential social amenities in areas previously affected by insecurity and banditry.
