VistaJet, the world’s first global business aviation company, has announced its inaugural East and South Africa Static Display Roadshow, featuring its flagship aircraft, the Bombardier Global 7500.
The event will begin in Nairobi, Kenya, and later visit Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa, marking a significant step in VistaJet’s expansion across the African continent. These cities are key business hubs, with Nairobi recognised as a growing tech and business centre in East Africa, and Johannesburg and Cape Town serving as pivotal markets for aviation in South Africa.
The roadshow comes after the success of VistaJet’s West African edition earlier in the year and highlights the company’s commitment to expanding its reach in Africa’s growing aviation market. According to the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association, the number of business jets operating in Africa is expected to grow by 8% annually over the next five years. This growth is closely tied to the increasing number of high-net-worth individuals in key African markets such as South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria, alongside a rising demand for business aviation services across the continent.

The Bombardier Global 7500, the star of VistaJet’s roadshow, is the largest and longest-range business jet in the world, capable of flying up to 17 hours non-stop. The aircraft is well-suited for connecting African cities and facilitating long-haul international travel, making it an attractive option for business leaders seeking privacy, flexibility, and global reach. VistaJet’s fleet of 18 Global 7500s has seen a significant rise in flight hours across Africa, with the first half of 2024 showing a 33% increase in usage.
VistaJet’s presence in Africa continues to grow, with a 103% increase in new program hours sold and a 29% increase in total hours flown year-over-year.
The company’s expansion is aimed at supporting Africa’s economic growth by fostering investment and facilitating cross-border business engagements. With its focus on client-first services and operational excellence, VistaJet is positioned to further enhance its influence in the African aviation market, providing reliable and flexible solutions to meet the region’s rising demand for business aviation.
