In a celebratory social media post, the airline proudly announced that its Airbus A350-1000, the first of its kind in Africa, will soon greet the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro. Over the past few days, the aircraft has already served major destinations, including Lagos, Dubai, and Accra, showcasing its impressive capabilities and efficiency. Ethiopian Airlines officially received the Airbus A350-1000 on 4th November 2024 during a ceremony in Toulouse Blagnac, France. Named “Ethiopia: Land of Origins,” the plane reflects the airline’s pride in representing the rich cultural and historical heritage of its home country. The aircraft touched down at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport on 5th November, marking a new chapter in the airline’s fleet modernisation strategy.
